Let's Play Codename: Iceman - Part 32 - The End!
And with that, Codename: Iceman come to a close. Not with quite a perfect score, either. If I missed anything major or entertaining, let me know and I'll go back.
As for the game... not one of the better Sierra games, really. The parts outside the sub were good, but not loaded with the usual interactivity and detail. And the tight timeline you must follow is more like the early, EARLY Sierra titles - punishing in its strictness.
As for the sub piloting... it needed something more. They did the best they could, and there were some nicely tense moments, but the engine wasn't suited for it, and the controls certainly weren't suited for it.
If you're new to Sierra titles, try something better, like King's Quest III, IV, V, VI, Space Quest I-IV, Police Quest I-III, Gabriel Knights 1 & 2.... Leisure Suit Larry I-III... if you do want to try it yourself, well, there is fun here. And it does have a different tone than any other Sierra game out there. But Sierra's certainly made better.
