Elden Ring is a game whose history is mired in a rather sudden and tragic event in my life, and it soured the taste for me for quite a while. But in the words of the main character of the work that greatly influenced FromSoftware and Souls games - "I'd rather fight for my life than live it."

Even if it hurts, or you're numb, the only choice you have is to push forward and survive.

Elden Ring's game philosophy is pretty much the same, so I might as well press whatever trauma I have against the brick skill wall of that, until I can safely say I've beaten it. Even if I have no gosh darned clue how to play this game. I don't have much experience with Souls Games, but I guess that doesn't matter - I'm bad at genres I play a lot.
