With the Super Bowl coming up this weekend, let's take a look at another classic football game updated to modern times.

ESPN NFL 2K5 was the last licensed NFL game to come out from Sega / Visual Concepts before EA Sports bought the exclusive NFL license for Madden. The 2K series went out with an absolute bang as 2K5 was considered the superior product at the time and is still considered one of the greatest football games ever made.

Naturally, modders have kept working on this to keep the game up to date with modern teams, rosters, stadia and graphics. So from the 2K5 Resurrected team, let's look at their 2024 mod!

ESPN NFL 2K5 is a football simulation game developed by Visual Concepts and published by Sega in 2004 for PlayStation 2 and Xbox.

The NFL 2K5 Resurrected is a modding project for the emulated PlayStation 2 version of the game. Originally released in 2021, Resurrected updates the rosters, uniforms, stadia and more from the original release of the game to match the current NFL.
