0We lose our first rematch with Catoblepas and finally beat him after our second rematch
Catoblepas - 5,000 HP
Counters any damage with Demon Eye which petrifies one party member.
Also uses Drain and a physical attack.
Apparently, Poison is a good spell to use on him since he does not counter the poison damage.
If you can land Sword Dance on him, it is possible to one-shot him, but my luck wasn't that nice.
Hit him, cure petrify, hit him again. Heal when possible. Golem can help negate his physical attacks.
After beating him, he becomes our summon (worst one in the game but is very useful later.) We then travel to Ghido's sunken island where we have to solve a puzzle while fighting our way through to discover that Ghido is a turtle.
Enemy: Metamorph, Caith Sith, Dark Aspic
