Let's Play Firewatch - Preview Build
2Hey folks, welcome to Let's Play Firewatch from @CampoSanto Games! The highly anticipated first person mystery adventure game! Today's episode is the entire preview build up to the end of the game's second chapter.
Firstly, full disclosure, this game was kindly provided by the developer, I had been looking forward to it since it's announcement and sent out a prospective email to see if I could cover it on my channel. The dev was kind enough to bestow a copy and the preview build.
Secondly, I have to apologize for the racket my PC makes through the episode - the game's a very pretty one, which means my relatively mediocre PC exudes the sounds of a jet engine trying to keep up playing AND recording it at the same time. As such it gets a wee bit choppy closer to the end of this 50+ minute episode. So apologies for that in advance!
Thirdly, despite my PC sucking, this game is incredible. The dialogue, the back and forth between Henry, the game's protagonist and Delilah, the supportive voice on the other end of the radio is definitely one of the game's highlights. The script is extremely well written, witty and well performed. The game's got a gorgeous art style and the music, while sparse really brings in the setting, mood and tone.
I'll definitely turn up the overall volume for when I start playing the full build on Tuesday. (Which will also help drown out the background noise my PC makes!)
Anyway guys, this game is shaping up to be an awesome experience, so I hope you'll join me on this crazy weird adventure in the woods with Henry and Delilah!
