Let's Play HELLDIVERS 2 (Co-Op W/ Aki [BLIND]) - Episode 23

While I've technically heard of Helldivers before, it was practically nonexistent in my mind. So color me surprised when out of nowhere comes a sequel to a game I didn't even know about, that suddenly conquered the gaming scene as the next big Co-Op shooter. I had a look at the store page around its launch, and was immediately turned away when I saw it was an Online Cooperative game only. This was nothing more than poor store page management however, as it is fully playable in private lobbies & even solo. Once I discovered that, it didn't take long for Aki to convince me to play it with her. We have Aki to thank, for gifting me the game & its Super Citizen Edition.
Helldivers 2 provides a great Co-Op mission loop, not unlike many other recently successful titles, but gives an action movie-like experience. It's not everyday I get to freely dive through a bunker window while a high-yield artillery strike detonates an ammunition reserve behind me. With only seconds to react.

Humanity unified under one order, serving a Managed Democracy for our mother; Super Earth. We get to play as a Helldiver, spreading Democracy, Liberty, and Freedom across the stars. Peacefully obviously. The story begins with two war fronts, one against the bug type Terminids who've broken from their secure farms, and the other against a brutal force of Automatons. Not only does the game spoof on popular literature & films like Starship Troopers & Terminator, it also provides what is suppose to be a dynamic and ever-evolving campaign based on the playerbase's actions. We'll see just how far they actually plan to take that, and whether or not it's as interesting as it sounds. So this description may end up being outdated and obsolete. Here's to hoping Aki & I can manage playing the game semi-regularly to watch the story unfold in real time.
At the moment I plan too only include Co-Op footage, but that may change.
Doing a Let's Play on a game with an evolving narrative? Must be a figment.
Episodes will be posted raw in 1440p60fps at on average 40-60 minutes per.
NOTE: This Let's Play is marked as "BLIND", which means it's my first time experiencing the game. Except it to take time for me to learn and adjust to the mechanics. The LP will most likely keep the 'BLIND' title, even after playing it for a long time. Since it will continue to be updated with new content and an evolving storyline.
