203Join Praetorian & Jynx as they play Humankind on the PS5! Humankind is a turn-based strategy game that is very similar to the Civilization series, but with some key differences that separate it from Civ.
One of these differences will be illustrated in episode 1, each leader starts in the Neolithic Period where their tribe will gather food and knowledge, battle wild animals and rival tribes, and scout the surrounding landscape in order to find a good location to settle their first outpost, which can be turned into cities in later eras.
At the end of the video we'll (finally lol) move to the Ancient Era after a rather long tribal period due to having to travel quite far to find a good starting territory that had plenty of luxury and strategic resources. Our first culture ends up being the expansionist Assyrian Empire!
I have experience with the PC version of the game and have done quite a few series with console ports of popular strategy games, and thus this playthrough will have a goal of serving as a How to Play Beginner Guide for new console players.
