The Legend of Zelda : Link's Awakening est un jeu sorti en 1993 et développé par Nintendo.

Synopsis : Link se réveille après un long sommeil d'une centaine d'années dLink est surpris par une tempête alors qu'il navigue sur une mer agitée. Frappé par la foudre, son bateau sombre. Link réchappe du naufrage et échoue sur une plage de l'île Cocolint où il est recueilli par Marine, une jeune fille, qui lui rappelle la princesse Zelda. Link retrouve son épée sur la plage, et son bouclier lui est rendu par Tarkin, le père de Marine. Alors arrive un hibou qui lui hulule : « Réveille le Poisson-rêve et tout te sera expliqué. »
