Let’s Play Tick Tock: A Tale For Two | Creepy Co-op Conundrums
Tick Tock is a puzzle game for two - a single adventure, split across two screens where the solution to one puzzle often lies in your co-op partner’s version. So let’s play Tick Tock with Rock Paper Shotgun, and watch Matthew and Alice struggle through Tick Tock gameplay.
This isn’t a full Tick Tock review, but you should get a good feel for the game. It isn’t a formal online experience - the two games aren’t connected - but you can’t beat it without a second player taking the second path through the world. You could play it in local co-op, but Matthew and Alice opted to chat over Discord as they attempt to solve the mystery of a watchmaker and his strange animal-sacrificing family. Tick Tock A Tale For Two would be quite creepy if we weren’t getting distracted by all the puzzle bickering. If this was a Tick Tock A Tale For Two review, we’d give it a thumbs up - the nature of it doesn;t give you much room to replay, but it’s nice to see co-op extending beyond the usual shooting cliches.
Tick Tock co-op does require voice chat, so that you compare information and finish each other’s sentences, opening up further clues. The best co-op games are all about opening up dialogues that you don’t get in real life, and these co-op puzzles do a nice job of that. Hopefully this let’s play Tick Tock A Tale For Two answers any questions you might have about the game - if you do have any lingering queries, pop them in the comments below and we’ll do our best to answer them.
