So, the proverbial shit hit the fan in the last chapter, didnt it?
To recap, Ichiban & the party managed to find and rescue both Akane-san and Lani-chan and brought them to the Daidoji safehouse, wherein they were ambushed and beaten the crap out of, resulting in Akane being injured, the Daidoji and Wong dead, and Lani being kidnapped! All due to a tip from Eiji, who pretended to be Ichiban's friend, but was an inside man working for Ebina and Bryce... along with Chitose, who was blackmailed into doing Eiji's bidding....
