9Welcome to my twenty-first Let's Play series, in which I'll be reading aloud and playing through the Lone Wolf series of classic gamebooks, written by Joe Dever and published beginning in 1984. These books were on the one hand fantasy novels, written in a branching "choose your own adventure" style format, but were also single-player games, with a full set of rules, stats, and combat resolution mechanics. Unlike most other series of gamebooks from the era, the Lone Wolf series is one continuous story, with a single consistent protagonist carrying over from one book to the next.
These books were much beloved by me as a child, and now I'm going to revisit them as I introduce them to a new audience here on YouTube.
