New demo! Nah, just kidding. This is a build salty_kvas personally gave to me when the Internship Discord Server was still a thing. It was still using what I've dubbed the "Pre-Demo Engine," or the "Alpha Engine".

Moveset was improved a lot between Alpha 1.6 and now, but it's still highly jank, and quite possibly broken in some regards. There's also some random crashes that happen sometimes, but that's neither here nor there.

Otherwise, the moveset feels way better than Alpha 1.6's. Now onto reviewing the levels.

Crateburg was completely overhauled. It uses a newer level structure INCLUDING MULTIPLE ROOMS!! An older WIP still exists AND is playable, and I DO BELIEVE Alpha Crateburg is still in the game files.

Entrance is the build's namesake, and would later become Rooftops in the 2022 Demo. It's a very simple level, most likely some sort of first level as the name implies.

Ruins would eventually turn into The Cheddar Temple, and has a more purple-ish style to the level instead of the yellow, cheesy nature of Cheddar Temple. Introduces the Tomato and Disappearing blocks.

City is a level not found in the 2022 Demo, but it will eventually be remade into Urban. It was actually meant to be a first level, but I guess plans changed. It seems to use an older level-style, where the entire stage is held in one room, a la Alpha 1.6. Introduces the Bomb transformation.

Towers is what was meant to be the final level, and in a later build, actually had music! And it also used the Mayo Gun there as well. No mayo gun in this version, however. Game crashed so I couldn't beat it.

Cheesehell is an unused level (so far,) and was probably a sewer-type level. It's highly unfinished here, and one room loops back onto itself. Game crashed here as well as I tried to exit to the Hub.

Christmas Dinner (and its Hard version) are pretty much unchanged from their Alpha 1.6 counterparts, aside from adding slopes here and there. Game would have crashed if I fought Cheesario due to some error with the Ice Cream Sandwich treasure, but Backy broke while piledriving an enemy into the ground.

There's also a level editor in the game, but I didn't show it off. It's pretty obtuse, though.

Finally, I look at a test area which showcases some unused mechanics, such as the Soda Ride transformation (suck it sugary spire internship did it first,) an unused Cardboard Knight transformation (which pretty much works exactly like the Knight transformation did back in SAGE,) the Mayo Gun (which is its only appearance in this build,) and Target Blocks that break when hit by an enemy.

Builds like this one make me glad that I have nearly every piece of Internship Alpha history, but BOY am I glad that salty_kvas completely rewrote the game from scratch.
