So the plan has changed a bit since I dropped the Dallas Cowboys Empty Ace (Miami Playbook) scheme vid. The more I tried to make the scheme align with the Cowboys' Real World Offense the more I realised doing it with any stock book is not only impossible, but laughable.

I decided to work this thing from the ground up and create a custom playbook based on the Dallas Cowboys real life offense. In this video we will briefly touch on the following topics:

00:47 - Intro - Why we are taking this different approach and what we hope to achieve.

01:24 - Chapter 1 - Researching the Offensive Philosophy - We trace Kellen Moores' offensive roots to his playing days under coach Chris Petersen at Boise State (some o fthe most exciting football of the early 2000s). We also learn some of the key elements of the scheme.

03:03 - Chapter 2 - Studying the Playbook - This one was a lot of fun and, like the rest of this process, it is still on going. With a copy of the Boise St. 2001 Offensive playbook on hand (and an endless supply of coffee) I dug in and began to consume as much knowledge as possible, in order to apply to the overall plan.

03:44 - From the Film to the Field - Here we take a look at a few plays from the All 22 film of the Cowboys' opening game vs TB. We are incorporating these into our scheme during the early phases and of course will be tweaking as we go along, but we do share Madden footage of some of these concepts here as well!

07:11 - Practice Makes (Nearly) Perfect - A quick shot of me labbing a play on the practice field and then taking it in game and testing it out.
