Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time - Finale: There's Always a Bigger Shroob Princess
In today's episode of the "Partners in Time" playthrough, we defeat Princess Shroob, rescue Peach, and learn why the Cobalt Star was broken and why it should have stayed that way.
As stated in the video, I will be uploading the first episode of my next playthrough this Friday, 12/24/21. As such, tomorrow, 12/23/21, I will be uploading a remix.
We reach the top of that huge Princess Shroob statue, where we find Princess Peach being held hostage behind an unbreakable forcefield. But before we can even think about how to go about freeing Peach, Princess Shroob decides that she's out for blood and has her mothership attack the statue, prompting us to commandeer the statue's emergency defense systems to blast it out of the sky.
Of course, shooting down the Shroob Mothership, the crown jewel of their fleet, out of the sky and crashing it into the statue, which fortunately also results in the forcefield trapping Peach to go down, makes Princess Shroob livid to the point of battling us with a mech throne.
However, even though we manage to defeat Princess Shroob, the threat posed by the Shroobs is not only still present, but has actually become much greater since Baby Bowser arrives on the scene, steals the final Cobalt Star shard from Peach and completes the star, prompting Peach to explain how she was the one who broke it in the first place after trapping Princess Shroob's bigger, stronger older sister inside. And now that the Cobalt Star is whole again, Elder Princess Shroob is free once more and decides to celebrate her newfound freedom by doing to us what we did to her little sister.
