Here's my final review of the game. There might be another video with mini-games only.

Gameplay 7/10

I am slightly disappointed that the gameplay was changed so drastically, as I was a big fan of the old Mario Party gameplay. It's not bad by any means, it's just different. They made the game more luck-based, which in the end is a good thing. The fact that they decided for the vehicle was pretty interesting, and made for exciting gameplay. Either way, you can always go back to earlier Mario Party games if you don't like the new gameplay. Overall exciting though.

Mini-Games 9/10

Although I didn't get to showcase many mini-games, and some of them were pretty unforgiving, I do find the mini-games of the game to be amazing. A lot better than the mini-games Mario Party 8 had, and some of them I think are the best in the entire series. I might make a 3rd part to the game to show of some of my favorite mini-games from the game. A step up since the N64 Mario Party era, imo.

Controls 8/10

Also a step up from Mario Party 8. Where Mario Party 8 felt unfinished in the controls, Mario Party 9 works like a charm. The controls are very responsive, and I love how they have several ways to play the mini-games. Initially, I did miss the jumping mechanism from Mario Party 8, where you moved the Wii Mote up quickly to hit the dice block. It's not a big deal, but I still miss it.

Graphics 10/10

The graphics, for what it is supposed to be, are perfect. Gorgeous atmosphere on all the boards and everything looks so shiny. Absolutely a step up from MP8. Keep in mind, this is a Nintendo Wii title, so it's not supposed to be realistic. All you graphics whores out there who dislike the graphics of the Wii have no idea what you're missing. In my opinion, this is the best title what graphics are concerned since New Super Mario Bros. Wii.

Music 9/10

The Mario Party series has always had great music. I've read that many thinks the music is not that good in this game, and I can't disagree more. I've taken time to listen to the soundtrack a lot, and I can't dislike any track from the game. It's so upbeat, and makes my heart so happy. Even the intimidating music is amazing in this game.

Overall 8.5/10

My overall feeling of the game is that it is a great addition to an already amazing franchise. It fails to become one of my favorite Wii titles because of the way they changed the gameplay of the game. It's still a great game and a must-buy title for the Wii!
