Rockstar has just officially updated us about the release date of max payne 1 and 2's remake currently in development by remedy entertainment. Now the max payne remakes have reached the proof-of-concept stage shortly moving into production readiness like shown on their public schedule. Thanks to rockstar intel who calculated the development roster we've figured out that full production for the max payne AAA game starts in april of next year and is planned to release on ps5, xbox series x/s and pc in 2026 or 2027. Presently after those steps the main developer remedy will still need some time to polish out bugs and do quality assurance. However, they won't be using the RAGE engine like with red dead redemption 2 and the upcoming Grand Theft Auto 6 but certainly the in-house northlight engine from the developer.
