Different things happened on my second true ending run! I was surprised.

By the way, I'm kind of happy that the DLC characters basically require you to do a new run. If you use them to beat the story you get to feel a sense of progression and you get to actually get enjoyment out of them rather than just being some new characters that you easily grind to level 100, watch their skill animations once and then proceed to forget about forever.
