For 2023, Mercedes-Benz has introduced a new entry-level model, the EQB250+, which features a 188-hp electric motor and a 250-mile driving range.
The EQB300 and EQB350 models remain unchanged. The EQB is available in several forms, with prices ranging from $53,900 to $63,550.
The EQB uses a 66.5-kWh battery located underneath the floor. The range varies depending on the model, with the EQB350 estimated to deliver 227 miles per charge, and the EQB300 and EQB250+ models boasting slightly longer ranges of 242 and 250 miles, respectively.
The vehicle can be recharged at home on a Level 2 connection or at a DC fast-charging public station, with the latter allowing a charge from 10 to 80 percent in as little as 30 minutes.
The EQB offers some standard driver-assistance features, including lane-keeping assist and automated emergency braking.
However, more advanced tech is optional. The warranty coverage is the same as other Mercedes models, covering four years or 50,000 miles for the limited warranty and powertrain warranty, and eight years or 100,000 miles for hybrid components.
There is no complimentary scheduled maintenance.
