This game is often praised for being a first in major storytelling, but I'm here to tell you RPGs existed long before this game. This is the first to be this cinematic with storytelling; the first to be done in such a way to much more closely resemble a movie, and with this kind of "hyper real" - with somewhat exaggerated storytelling. Chef's kiss.

Released in 1998, and getting expanded VR Mission content later, and even a remake on the Gamecube in 2004 that's better than people will have you believe, this is a historical game and I'm definitely not the first to cover it. Won't be the last either. Played this thing obsessively as a kid...
Now though, I think this is on everything under the sun. From PS3 onward, just not Wii, Wii U or 3DS. Pretty much everything else, though. Even got a PC port back in 2000.
