Metroidvania Mapping in 2023 — A Game Design Year in Review
54I put together 31 maps for Metroidvania games this year — almost double last year’s map number — which took a considerable number of hours of both gameplay and work.
In this video, I take a tour of the year, look at the games mapped, and review both the maps made AND the games in my typical longform, rambling, way.
I scripted this video out more than last year, but obviously with so many games to cover, it took longer.
