MHRS: Hazard Primordial Malzeno - No Armor Clear [Switch Axe]
For those who don't play the game, armor pieces are the main source of skills, which is the majority of damage scaling in Monster Hunter, plus important utility. You also take like 12 times the damage compared to end-game armor so even chip damage is a one shot.
I have a lot to say. This was a journey of weeks filled with many hours of attempts every day, and just as last time, I'm not fully satisfied with the result.
I did not get to show his second mega combo in final phase, mostly because I kept dying to it. Those rock cones are way too large and wind wave from melee is already cursed. And that's not to mention the projectiles firing at the same time. The rest of the combo is fine, though.
In the final phase I played pretty poorly, mostly due to nerves. I lost many runs there. I both missed punishes and overcommitted stupidly, which could've easily caused my death, as he has some crazy fast teleport attacks. They are really hard to react to, but still possible. Easier with Evade Window since you can dodge a lot later and the direction isn't as important.
The talisman was modded in, but not an unreasonable find. The only difference between this and legitimate ones is I could add another point in bladescale hone. It is not necessary, as2 points provides enough to keep purple, but the lack of consistency was annoying. I don't understand why it has to be a chance, instead of just giving you 25% less sharpness back.
I was also trying to play by TA rules with the exception of Dango Adrenaline, so I didn't use the marionette spider or sleep toad, but it turns out the bugs you hit on the wall with wyvern riding are also disallowed.
