Here's a comparison between 5 great mice to hopefully help you choose what's going to be right for you. Mice are so good these days, I think many of us are choosing just based on shape and weight, plus some extra features.

Also just a note on the M8, the grip width is slightly smaller than what I can measure, because it flares out a bit at the base and goes inward at the fingers, but it's not that far off, the recommendations are still pretty right, but I'd say that's why it looks smaller than the dimensions make it seem.
