Nearly everyone plays the Beethoven cadenza for this concerto. But there's lots of other stuff out there! Here I play one which was composed about 50 years ago by pianist Pierre Sancan - my teacher's teacher!

Viewers who don't know much about this concerto or what a cadenza is be warned, you probably won't understand exactly what this video is exactly about.

These three cadenza videos are also an occasion to test my new microphone which I didn't by for music-related reasons but might as well use to enhance my recordings! Please tell me what you think about the new quality! I like the improved dynamics and clarity very much, but at times it feels a little TOO clear - you can almost hear a "click" every time i play a note at times.
