Whew! The journey is over, with a clutched ending to top it off!

Stage 1 - This stage was pretty normal for me. Nothing really out of the ordinary happened iirc.

Stage 2 - Oh boy. I had to bomb three times on the boss. I had failed to move down to the bottom in time (I think the final phase started earlier due to my bomb or something) so I had to bomb again to prevent myself from getting walled. Usually I pass this boss in 2 bombs or 1 bomb if really lucky

Stage 3 - The stage portion went wonderfully! I had basically told myself that because of how bad stage 2 went, I would absolutely not bomb on the 1up section or anything else (as I wanted the two safety bombs for the boss).

I coooould have 1-bombed the boss if I had dodged the purple wall but I decided not to trust that because it was sketchy looking.

Stage 4 - AKA the stage portion I practiced most out of everything (I just really enjoy this stage, it's so fun to play!). I didn't have a bomb for the midboss so I had to gorilla it but fortunately things worked out.... and then I died instantly after the midboss :V

That's not too bad though because it was the first death and I needed bombs for the boss anyway. Dragonfly section went very smoothly! I sure hope so, considering how much I practiced it, lol.

Stage 5 - Oh geez, the stage portion was incredibly embarrassing. I'll admit, I didn't practice this stage as much as I should have. I have the general route for it, but I'm not consistent. Usually you'd want to NMNB the first half of the stage but I was on an urn and did a bunch of weird panicky bombs everywhere since I didn't wanna risk dying with bombs in stock. The first death was just a matter of me not shotgunning the mantis and moving out of the way in time. The second death was mostly because instead of going to the left to dodge, I wanted to be a bit on the right because I was afraid of the mantis firing those purple balls it fires if you don't kill it in time. Unfortunately, when trying to get into the gap I overmoved and ended up moving into the wall (Ack!)

Getting into Aki 2-2 was uncertain. I opted for dodging the first pattern though (I had practiced it recently, and figured out that going to the left or right of the "pointy ends" really helps). I had a particularly bad experience the night before of dying to the final phase with bombs in stock so I got mega paranoid today and double bombed it. Which was definitely not a good idea because it brought me with no bombs into the TLB.

TLB - Since I double bombed Aki I was unable to finish the one phase off where you're normally supposed to bomb after 5 cycles. I mean, that's expected. Getting into the final pattern 1-3 was very tense. I don't do the misdirection strat anymore (it's really not reliable and requires too many resources to use), so I knew I could win, but it would still require not dying more than once. Fortunately, I did manage to get into the opener wave (I had practiced that entrance extensively. Basically what I do is move around a big ball (the third one) in the direction that I'm going to have to inevitably stream. I'm then put into a short safespot and then I can continue to move in the same direction and into the streaming lane. This method was the best one for me as it only requires moving in one direction and if you have it memorized, you can expect and see the bullets well.

I had died too quickly on the second wave though, having two bombs still in stock. At this point I had pretty much thought "the run was over". But through the skin of my teeth, I managed to not fuck up again and finish the attack off 0-0! God that felt so satisfying. Especially since last night I had a run which gameovered on the last possible dodge leading to some pretty salty heartbreak.

The livestream version is here if you want to watch it but bewarned I tend to swear and yell a lot, haha: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TIZhEqqn064

Man, it feels great to have this clear done. I can definitely say this gave me a really fun and decent challenge and was very refreshing since I had been burnt out playing EoSD a month prior.

Most of my practice time was actually spent on the TLB. I figured that there was no point in learning the rest of the game if I couldn't finish off the run.

Not sure what I'm doing next. I would adore to play Futari but unfortunately it's not on steam and we don't know if it will ever come on steam. I do have an Xbox 360 but unfortunately idk how to work with keyboards on it.

...I'll probably just go back to scoring PCB Lunatic as my main goal. But I did want to take a look at DFK since I got that on a recent steam sale. We'll see.

Thanks for watching and have a wonderful day, night, evening, or morning :U
