Review for Divinity Original Sin which is a single player, or multiplayer fantasy RPG developed by Larian Studios, then blends deep customisation, humour and dynamic turn based combat into a awe inspiring and deeply rewarding game.

In Divinity Original Sin you embark upon a journey, with up to three companions, as you bend the very fabric of time with what seems like the case of a simple murder unravels into hours of quests facing fiendish foes, magical polymorphs and dastardly bosses.

Divinity Original Sin allows players full customisation of their characters, not only allowing them to pick a base class, for example archer / warrior / mage, but also allows additional skills to be unlocked throughout the game. So if you wanted to be, for example, an archer you utilised magic for close range encounters you most definitely could do that.

As mentioned at the start of this review Divinity Original Sin adopts a dynamic turn based combat system with each character having a number of action points available to them, once these have been depleted the next character in the turn line gets to go. However you can often plan attacks to change this order of attack, for example by shocking your opponent or freezing them in place, but the tricky part is they can also do this back to you.

The first playthrough of Divinity Original Sin should take players roughly around 40-80 hours to complete depending on the amount of optional side quests people choose to do. Personally I only found a few minor faults with the game, being its inconsistent difficulty spike, minor glitchy quests and lack of direction for some quests which results players scratching their heads wondering where and what to do.

With that being said though I really did enjoy Divinity Original Sin, it took me on a wonderfully woven story and gave some great combat moments along the way. Coupled with the games combat mechanic it kept me hooked all the way through, now if only I could get the merchant calls out of my head.
