And for my year end tradition, I look back twenty years to see if I managed to play all the games I'd wanted to. ...No. No I didn't. Ah well. But I played several, and I like to list my top 10 on the PC. Though, whew, 2001 was not a great year for the PC. Some slim pickings, I think overall this is my least favorite of the top 10s. But hey, that doesn't mean all the games are bad. The ones at the top were still a lot of fun.

Meanwhile, the game of the year was a nice little gem that I got thanks to Humble Bundle Choice, 8Doors: Arum's Afterlife Adventure. This game is fantastic, and I'm still making my way through it. The bosses provide a good challenge, the platforming is solid, the dodge roll is there so damage can be properly mitigated. It's a Metroidvania that starts out with vibes of Hollow Knight, but that's not fair to this game. This is it's own thing, and it does it really, really well. Absolutely worth picking up.
