Welcome to episode 16 of my Austria campaign! With Napoleon and Davout defeated at the Battle of Cleves-Mark and the state brought under Prussian control, General Ferdinand von Osterreich-Este marches his corps down into the low countries to destroy the Batavian Republic and install a pro-Austrian court in Holland. However, the Batavian army stationed around Amsterdam outnumbers that of Ferdinand's, and will not easily be defeated.

Further south, Archduke Charles marches into Switzerland to defeat the Franco-Swiss army stationed along the border at the twin Battles of Basel Forests. The Swiss must be subjugated if the invasion of France is to go ahead, but their vast numbers will push the Archduke and his army considerably.
