NBA JAM [Sega CD] - Dinosaurs are (almost) unbeatable

Take the Sega Genesis version of NBA Jam, change some names and portraits, add a CD-quality soundtrack, FMV sequences at halftime, and awful loading times, and you get this version.

Iguana did have one slam dunk with this port of a classic, and that is in the audio department. When you place your disc in the CDX the first thing you notice would be the music in the opening, a simply awesome theme that gets you pumped up and ready to hit the court. New music was also added during the games that is lively, catchy, and actually makes the game itself more fun to play, something that is hard to do with a classic such as this.

However, there's one more little-known feature that this Sega CD release has over the other ports--more than twice the number of secret characters!

Only eight secret characters codes have been circulating the Web, but twenty more exist on the disc! These include all but one of the characters found in the other home versions (Scruff was replaced with Brutah), thirteen which can also be found in the NBA Jam Tournament Edition (SNES) prototype with their real names (all characters from Bloke! to Ziggy), and three dinosaurs from the SNES prototype of the original NBA Jam.

And those Dinosaurs are unbeatable, almost!
