96On August 28th 2020, Elon Musk presented Neuralink to the public. Neuralink is a Brain-Computer-Interface eventualluy intended use by healthy consumers. In this video, cognitive neuroscientist dr. Jasper Winkel reacts to this announcement video and answers questions from viewers about the technology, how it would work, what functions it could enable, and what kinds of medical and ethical concerns it raises. dr. Jasper Winkel has a BSc. in psychobiology and a MSc. in biomedical science (with a focus on cognitive neuroscience). He did his PhD on the neural correlates of speeded decision making; all at the university of Amsterdam. He is currently an assistant professor in cognitive psychology at Leiden university.
