Nintendo still isn't ruling out game company acquisitions, but plans on investing in the developers Nintendo already owns rather than buying brand new ones, citing the need for 'Nintendo DNA' in the company's creators. With a solid Switch 2022 lineup, Pokémon Legends: Arceus track record sales, and the Switch outselling the Wii, Nintendo feels pretty good.
Sony's Bungie acquisition included deferred payments to employees to help retain talent post acquisition date. According to The Washington Post, employees will receive equity payouts up to 50% and for subsequent years. Some are cautious of the generous payout and hopeful.
