Nioh 2 Dream of the Samurai Playthrough (story focus, JP voice, no summons, Tonfa, Uesugi perk)
1The last time I played Nioh 2 was in January 2023, so there is much I didn't remember while playing. This playthrough focuses on the story of Hide and Tokichiro, skipping all sub missions, avoiding as much combat as possible in story missions, visiting the Blacksmith as few times as possible, doing few dojo missions, and avoiding grinding Proficiency and levels. This playthrough also excludes the DLCs as they do not pertain to Tokichiro directly.
Cinematics from the story missions are present in full length. Some mission descriptions are skipped by mistake but not revisited. The Hidden Teahouse is visited only once. This playthrough makes use of the Uesugi clan's buff that grants temporary health against physical damage when purifying Yokai Realm, making this playthrough significantly easier and possible to do in a timely manner.
