Nox Plays... Cities: Skylines: Green Cities (Let's Play) | #32: After the Storm
The most recent tsunami wiped out tens of thousands of cims and drove away even more cims than expected. As a result, Noxdo sank into a major deficit that seemed impossible to overcome. With quick and drastic changes to our budget, we were able to get back into the green, albeit very very slowly. It was a painful process but completely worth it, as I have no plans of abandoning Noxdo any time soon.
Once our funds are looking up, we return to building up our new residential zone by the water (yes, I never learn). To help with future rising tide situations, I've installed a quay and will consider additional methods to help whenever the next tsunami strikes. To make the area look nice and also hide the very obvious monorail tracks, I intend on adding palm trees around the tracks so that residents won't complain too much about the sound. It'll also make the area look more beachy, which is exactly what I'm after. We'll see the formation of that area in the next episode!
