Today we review On Bloody Ground Rules by WIP Games and Miniatures.
I have to say that I was very pleasantly surprised by the rules mechanics and innovative ideas
We start with a rules flip through and conclude with one hand to hand combat example.

Rules Clarification from the Authors :
all commanders add a +1 leadership bonus to any unit they are attached to, so even commanders that don’t have command points/have used them all can go into a unit and give them a little bonus to leadership tests and help keep their men in the fight. This does of course mean they could be unlucky and get killed but at least they’re not useless and standing around not doing much!

1. On Bloody Ground - El Cid & The Reconquista
Contains:
A 64 page A4 perfect bound mass combat rulebook with common sense rules for movement, shooting and combat, along with a command and orders structure which produces a highly tactical, dynamic and versatile wargame, that is great fun for both seasoned gamers and beginners alike.
On Bloody Ground - El Cid & The Reconquista, includes six complete army lists to enable players to build Christian Spanish, Almoravids, Al-Andalus, Late Christian Spanish, Almohads or Late Andalusian armies, along with six pages of full colour pictures, showcasing example units and commanders from those army lists.

2. On Bloody Ground - The Norman Conquest
