Torins Passage is an adventure game released in 1995 by Sierra. It was directed by Al Lowe, whose goal behind this game was creating something a parent and child could enjoy together. This game does have a lot in common with the Kings Quest series, with its graphics looking particularly like those of KQ VII. Like most games in its genre, the puzzles in Torins Passage can be quite obtuse and theres a good deal of dialog. Even though I laugh at this game with my sisters, I still have fond childhood memories of it.
I tried to show off as much dialog as I could without being redundant. This helps provide context for the actual gameplay. Speaking of which, I kept the gameplay as concise as possible, though I did show off a few of the fun death scenes. From GOG, played on DOSBOX. Settings: scrolling on, dialog boxes on, hints off. -
