For those just tuning in: This is just a fun way I wanted to approach my encounter with the final boss of this game. 40+ hours to get to this point, and I still have to face the last few achievements - the Bond one in particular worries me.


Yes, I actually went into this one totally blind. So it didn't go perfectly... but I've been challenged more in the actual dungeons on Hard mode than by pretty much any of the bosses. I didn't want to switch Personas because that'd be too easy and ruin the effect I was pursuing.



Yes, most of the skill build is a direct reference. I've hinted at the reference in the title. If you don't get it, your only hint is that the remaster of the game where I got the line was released earlier this year.


Yes, I used the fusion loop typically reserved for farming Persona Points to get Pixie this way, and could have done the loop more to truly max out Pixie's stats. But then I would have missed an opportunity to upload this on Halloween. I definitely wanted to get this out before SMT 5 landed - though I won't be picking it up immediately, it is the SOLE thing that could get me to buy a Switch.


I deliberately trimmed a bit of story content this time because I wanted the focus to be on the whole Demiurge thing. Gameplay, rather than story.

So. It's been almost 3 years since I uploaded any content, and a little over 3 years since I did anything meaningful. A LOT has gone down in the real and virtual worlds since then. My life MAY now be in a situation where I can do this fun stuff again.


I'm not fully back yet. I need at least another couple weeks and even then, I have no idea if I can uphold a regular schedule. This video at least gave me a good idea how much I can do with modern gaming - and the answer is "a surprising amount". I THINK there was a little cutscene slowdown but that's all I experienced during recording.


I MAY do a VR test before the end of the year. We'll see. It probably won't be on a popular VR game.


After said VR test, I need to sit down and truly get an idea of the direction I want this channel to take. The only part I know for sure is I won't be recording any console game that was released after the PS3's heyday - if I get a more modern game, it WILL be with the PC port. I simply am not in a good venue for console gaming.
