Phantasy Star IV: The End of the Millennium (via RetroArch) playthrough Part 1
1The last of the traditional Phantasy Star games, it was time to give this a shot. The previous ones have been very rough, with lots of little issues in their design. Neat ideas, some unique stuff, but rough. This one right off the bat has a lot of quality of life updates. You can see who can equip gear in shops, and what the stat changes will be when you go to equip them. There's a party inventory instead of individual. Save anywhere. No need to go to a church to resurrect downed characters. Just generally good improvements all around.
