Play a banned game - SMBX stream
1137:00 is around when the gameplay starts.
Today we're playing another game that Nintendo gave the old Cease and Desist to. This time it's SMBX. I was an amazing project, and the people developing this amazing engine were shut down years ago before they were fully finished. But that hasn't stopped other fans from using the engine to make incredible games. Like the one we'll be exploring today, 'Super Talking Time Bros 2'
Banned might not be exactly the right word, but writing out 'play a game that was given a cease and desist by Nintendo' is too long for a title, and this shorter one gets the point across, while my description gives the full story.
The first 30 minutes I spent setting things up. Jawn-X and myself talk about a few things... and rabbits. The actual gameplay begins at roughly the 37 minute mark. I had wanted to edit the video using the Youtube editor to cut straight to that but Nintendo' has managed to lock that down.
You see, Youtube has helpfully claimed this video for Nintendo, and because there's a copyright claim on it various features are locked down including the Youtube editor. ...Because Nintendo apparently needs to run ads and claim the profits of a video I made, about a game that not only was not made by Nintendo, but was something they had shut down with a C&D. ...The really sad thing is that the profit they'll make by running ads on my video is unlikely to generate more then 2-5 bucks in a year.
I'm just ticked off that I can't edit my own video.
