Welcome to the Bushido Gang! What's up ladies and gentlemen?! It's AttackonSamurott bringing you all another Pokemon Showdown Live in the Old Gens! Gonna be playing DPP OU again for possibly the last time in 2023! Got a fun team featuring offensive Life Orb Trick Room Slowking! The Slowpoke line have some unique characteristics in DPP OU being one of the Pokemon that can cover for a decent chunk of the offensive physical and special sweepers in DPP! Slowking acts as a semi-check to a majority of the fighting types in the tier such as Infernape, Lucario and Machamp! It also acts a decent opposing Water check to offensive waters like Gyarados, specially offensive Swampert, and Empoleon depending on the set! The more defensive Steel types like Jirachi, Metagross, Bronzong and Heatran can be pressured by Slowking under a Trick Room as well! Overall it has a nice niche to be solid in the tier but its brother Slowbro is much better defensive check on the physical side of the meta! Teammates such as Machamp and Choice Band Tyranitar appreciate a Trick Room from Slowking to start hitting everything! Choice Specs Latias leads the team and can open up holes for the potential set up. Choice Scarf Heatran on Trick Room is odd but it gives my team a way out against other offensive threats outside of Trick Room!
