With the upcoming closure of the 3DS eShop and resulting loss of the only way to officially buy 1st and 2nd generation Pokemon games, it is inevitable that Pokemon Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, and Crystal will soon be available to play on the Nintendo Switch. The release of Pokemon Stadium 1 and 2 on the Nintendo 64 Online app sometime this year also supports this fact, and suggests we could be playing those Game Boy Pokemon games on the Nintendo Switch by the end of 2023!
