Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are simultaneously a great success and a stunning failure. They push the series forward in ways no recent set of games has, yet it stumbles immensely putting one foot in front of the other. By diving into the open world format, Gamefreak has given fans exactly what they've always wanted, but it comes at the cost of presentation and performance. This video is an all over the place analysis, where I comment on different aspects of the game and series that has stood out to me as I played. It's by no means the most detailed/focused/interesting video on the game, but it is one that I was happy to make. I hope you get something from it.
