Great Late Reviews - series where a random guy on the internet is gonna tell you, if the game is good or not.

It is the most beutiful day. The sun is up, it is warm yet not hot, pleseant brezee is upkeeping your comfort. Birds are singing songs of which words you do not understand, yet you know in your gut to be cheerful. Everything seems to be alive, colorful, in harmony with the whole world. You walk through all of this, thinking to yourself „life is good”, but as all things come to an end, such is this strall. You come home turn on your pc, phone, tv… no matter the device of your choice. You wanna see other people enjoying life as you, yourself just enjoyed it greatly. But instead you are unlucky and the first thing you see and hear is yet another political discord. Your day is not ruined, but now it is not as beautiful as you thought it would be.

You can say that New World Settlers had it way worse back in 17th century. They had to face grave dangers on daily basis, working hard for their survival and well being of their communities. Add to that ghosts, witches, demonology and other sorts of supernatural, and you get a setting for the game named „Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden”. I remember MMORPG from „Amazon Games” called „New World” had a similar setting, yet the stories told in both games differ very much. „Banishers” focuses on personal tragedies of both living and the dead, and you play a role of late sixteen hundreds ghostbuster essentialy. It is very interesting premise, offered by „Don’t Nod Entertainment”. They are known to develop games with somewhat unusual stories and settings. I played only one of their previous titles, namely „Vampyr”. It was only for few hours, because I didn’t realy enjoy the gameplay there. Oh boy, it doesn’t look very promising from the getgo right? Well, wrong. I started the game with fresh and open mind, and let me tell you, I was very impressed in the opening hours. But after a while when I was enjoying a decent game, I got smacked right in the face, just like after that walk on a beutiful day that I described at the start. So let’s dive into the essence of what happened with this game, and by the end of it, you gonna know what I think about all of that shabang.
