It is amazing what modding communities can bring to already fantastic games likes Skyrim and Factorio, and in some cases downright fix broken games. And Portal Reloaded is definitely no exception. A free mod officially on the steam store, managing to expand on the already fantastic mechanics of Portal 2, by adding one tinee-tiny detail: a third portal which allows you two travel 20 years into the future. This allows for whole new possibilities in traversal and puzzle solving. A 5-hour experience constantly expanding on its own premise by presenting increasingly challenging puzzles. And challenging is definitely not an understatement. Compared to the original Portal games, this is definitely a spike in difficulty destined to scratch the brain of even hardened puzzle game lovers. Having one puzzle room existing in two instances, where interaction in one instance affect the other and vice versa, offers a whole new level of gameplay to the portal genre. Portal Reloaded even offers a short narrative which ties well into both the humor and story of Portal 1 and 2, without alternating the canon. A must play for any fan of the original games, and it is even free so what are you waiting for?
