Hi! This is a project that ive been trying to solve for well over 2-3 years, and just recently ive finally cracked the code. If anyones unaware of whats happening, ive been trying to get a shiny fennekin for well over 5 years now. I started my hunt around 2018 to find a shiny fennekin on Pokemon X/Y through soft resetting the starter given at the beginning of the game. That cutscene is very tedious and time consuming, which is about 1-2 minutes of boring a and b presses just to get through dialogue thats unskippable. Fun stuff! So, ive decided to create an automated shiny hunt that would do everything for me, and all i had to do was wait until the shiny happened. Ive made multiple models and 3d models to hopefully create the best arduino automated shiny hunter with servos at the time, but the main problem is servos can have hiccups and sometimes miss the button, or simply just not work at all. So, as time went on, id eventually discover that an arduino board can be used to make your own xbox controller, and thats exactly what ive tooken advantage of to be able to have a modded 3ds client called InputRedirection be able to control the modded 3ds with. Since InputRedirection cant use keyboard and mouse controls along with the arduino uno not being able to simulate xbox controls, i resorted to purchasing an arduino leonardo that did exactly as i wanted it to do. Unfortunately with the modification of the leonardos software using XInput, it pretty much makes the board unusable for noraml arduino operations such as photosensors to detect light, or a 7 pin 8 segment (or whatever its called) display, or an LCD to be able to output vital information on what phase, count, or even the blackout timer to be displayed for debugging purposes, but those broke with the XInput software i guess. Also the COM outputs dont work either since it disconnects the board from the computer's COM connection output completely during operation. So it lead me to guess. Literally just guessing the A and B presses and have it hopefully pair properly during the hunt, and just press buttons. Well, it works flawlessly now!

Anyways this story went on for way too long, but yeah. Ill give the info on what ive used.
