8Populating and utilizing various creatures, peoples and monsters from across the realms and planes of existence is very much a matter of context as it is challenge.
But there's a way to challenge players that I feel doesn't come up as often as it should; specifically: those instances where creatures, like the Fae, will actively utilize other creatures to help shore up their own weaknesses.
It may not happen commonly, but when it does? Well...then we get into some very interesting encounters that force the players to adapt their own tactics and approach to these fresh encounters.
