I've always thought of Rainbow Road as a place where you create long lasting friendships. I wanted to make an original arrangement that reflected this idea of mine. I think Rainbow Road being a heartfelt song about friendship and facing your fears reflected the polar opposite of what we're forced to do in the games. Imagine if you will, two friends, riding side by side on the Rainbow Road and casually sharing a laugh and some smiles.
