Donkey Kong has been in Smash since the very beginning, as one of the original 12 fighters. A veteran of the series, he's made an appearance in every subsequent Smash Bros. game and is certainly a fan favourite character due to his energetic playstyle. However, his moveset has remained pretty similar over the years and this is a real shame. For the most part, his current kit consists of various generic punches and kicks - he kind of just feels like an angry monkey. The aim of this redesigned concept is to bring some more variety into Donkey Kong's moves and to better represent his source material. Hope you enjoy this new Redesigning Smash video!
