The Game Boy Color is a weird place to find Capcom's premium Survival Horror franchise, especially in 2001. Even though it wasn't well received at the time of release, I had a renewed interested in Resident Evil Gaiden after finishing Revelations and realising there were more than a few similarities between these handheld titles.

Obviously I picked up the Japanese version of the game, Biohazard Gaiden, which is still totally playable using a good guide. The screenshots in this review are comprised both of the Japanese and US releases. Totally deliberate to make sure the review remains accessible at certain times (such as talking about save states).
