Resident Evil Outbreak, BIO HAZARD OUTBREAK is a single-player video game with multiplayer capabilities originally released for the PlayStation 2 game console in 2003. The game was developed by the Japanese studio Capcom Production Studio 1. This game was the first in the Resident Evil series to support online game modes (Japanese and North American versions only) and cooperative. Outbreak is a series of unrelated episodes from the life of the inhabitants of Raccoon City, taking place at the same time as the events in Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis.
