Feed The Kids was a marathon by the RetroGamingLive stream team that ran from November 24-27 and was raising money for Random Acts, a non-profit organization that aims to provide relief across the world. I'll be honest, I was actually very worried at how this run would turn out. This was a game that I NEVER played at a marathon before, was a game that has a copious amount of randomness to contend with, and was sandwiched into a string of weeks that have been already pretty hectic and stressful. Commentary was probably the most worrisome thing in my mind as I didn't exactly have time to plan out talking points throughout the run. Needless to say, I didn't exactly feel all too prepared even with the practice I was able to squeeze out. I was ready for this to become an absolute mess of a run not too dissimilar to my first few GDQ runs. To say that I was surprised at how this turned out would be an understatement.

I think the one thing that really turned this run allowed was doing something I was told never to do...I looked at Twitch chat. Things like responding to comments and making jokes out of responses really helped straighten my mind and give me time to properly come up with actual commentary. It really made me think at how much things have changed over the years. Unfortunately that also means that quite a bit of the context surrounding certain comments I made might be lost in translation.
