Riche Aprile was a capo in the DiMeo crime family and the older brother of its former acting boss Jackie, Sr. before being sent to prison for 10 years, after which he joined the Soprano crime family to pick up where he left off. This Scene Remix explores Richie's first items of business upon release from prison, which are A) squaring up with Beansie Gaeta and then B) closing a window so another door can open or something like that.

๐ฌ I made this video as a playful "comeback" to Borko uploading a Wire video, and I'm honestly glad he did that and that I did this because it reinvigorated my passion for content creation, as I've been out of the game for months.
๐ฌ Richie is one of my favorite characters in Sopranos, Ralphie being my favorite, and getting to make a Scene Remix about Richie was not only a pleasure but I got to include nearly all my favorite Richie lines like Turtleback Zoo, "say never", "veal parmesan", "I thought I told you to back off Beansie", and "build a ramp".
๐ฌ This upload was a true labor of love from conception through execution, taking me over 12 hours to make, and it's the first Scene Remix where I majorly changed up the presentation be it the intro or how I even edit scenes. This will also be the first time that not only episodes are out of order but scenes too, and the first time I add an "ending" - so definitely make sure you watch the entire upload.
๐ฌ I tried to start with and use scenes where the camera is focused on Richie in order to give him the perspective that he's "main character" for this Scene Remix, even though on Sopranos he's not even there for a full season. For example, opening scene is on him at the table, then it transitions to him in the mall looking for Tony.
๐ฌ One larger technical challenge I encountered in making this Scene Remix besides timing the intro and outro came from choosing what to cut in order to present a tight story, but I'm very happy with the result, and it has a Pulp Fiction/The Room feel like a mix between my Omar at the cemetery butchering and the refined skills presented in the Santangelo Scene Remix, as if you're used to me preserving most or all of a storyline this is going to be a departure from that.
๐ฌ For example, thought it was a better intro to Richie as a character for many reasons to start with Tony introducing him to Chris and then cutting Richie's actual intro on the show that is Adriana dropping him off since it's less relevant to include Adriana, but also using it as an opportunity to quickly stun Borko and any of his fans who don't know what we do here, which is "remix" scenes. That's was one of them rhetorical questions. I was also inspired by Scorsese films like Goodfellas to let flashbacks do some storytelling, I just didn't do a 50s song playing over the beatings.
๐ฌ For my subs who didn't like hearing Lady Gaga, I have a new audio intro but I forgot to add it to the final cut and therefore my next Scene Remix will debut that.
